Countrywide Holidays has introduced a range of new breaks as part of its 2003 walking holiday programme, with over 50 locations now available around the UK and Europe.   Some of the most scenic walking routes have been selected, with visits to places of historical interest and well-known beauty spots.

New UK destinations for 2003 include Buxton in the Peak District, Leominster in Herefordshire and Richmond in the Yorkshire Dales. A selection of coastal locations are also available such as Ilfracombe in Devon and Cardigan in Wales.

Countrywide caters for both groups and the independent walker.  For those who enjoy walking in the company of other enthusiasts, Countrywide offers guided itineraries with professional Walking Guides, who will provide walkers with information on each route, and offer a deeper understanding of the surrounding environment.  For those who wish to go it alone, the self-guided walking programme allows holidaymakers to enjoy walks independently, while being based at a comfortable Countrywide hotel or guesthouse.  Each itinerary is graded into leisurely, moderate and strenuous levels to suit all abilities and this year’s programme features different grades on the same day at selected locations.

Countrywide offers a number of Specially for Singles breaks where single travellers can join a group of like-minded people without feeling concerned about arriving alone, and won’t have to pay additional supplements.  Other popular themed breaks are available such as Opera Week, Music Week, following The Limestone Way and Birds and Flowers.

Countrywide is offering you the chance to win a four-night walking break on the British mainland from its 2003 brochure.
