Jamie Oliver latest venue is set to make a splash – as the celebrity chef opens his first restaurants on board a cruise ship.
From autumn this year, passengers sailing on Royal Caribbean International’s new vessel Quantum of the Seas, which sails from New York, will be able to dine inside the Naked Chef’s Jamie’s Italian.
While the restaurant will also be introduced on board the Southampton-based Anthem of the Seas as of spring 2015.
The ships will replace the traditional ‘Captain’s Table’ style dining usually associated with the cruise holiday experience, according to the firm.
“Royal Caribbean shares my approach to food and dining, which is to serve simple, fresh ingredients in a warm, inviting ambience".
At the first seafaring outpost of his hugely popular restaurant, you’ll enjoy rustic dishes, handmade using seasonal ingredients, and authentic recipes that are tried and tested.
"I couldn’t be more excited to bring my love of Italian cooking to their guests with Jamie’s Italian. It’s going to be brilliant!” said Oliver.
