For years retired people have turned to the trusted stairlift when the stairs have started to become too much but a new trend has emerged with lifts for the home now a popular alternative.
Historically lifts and elevators have usually been something that would be ridden in places of work or shopping centres for example. Home lifts that do not use hydraulics are also very quiet and take the passenger or passengers up to one floor in less than 30 seconds. There is also a special domestic through floor wheelchair lift available for wheelchair users with the lift made deeper and wider to fit a standard sized wheelchair. The lifts are also very easy to install, usually taking around a day, causing minimal disruption.
