The Cotswolds Show

The Cotswold Show and Food Festival 2021 is focused on providing a tremendous day out for all to enjoy. With the award-winning show’s mix of arena attractions, family entertainment and capacity for over 200 food stalls and trade stands, there is most definitely something for everyone.

Exciting return of The Cotswold Show

The show’s founder, The Earl Bathurst said:

‘The Cotswold Show team has been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to deliver a bumper show for this year. After the sad cancellation of so many events due to the pandemic, there is a huge appetite for families to be able to get out and about again. The Cotswold Show has always been a firm favourite, with its wide variety of attractions for all ages, showcasing activities from the farming and countryside industries, with added entertainments. I am looking forward to personally welcoming everyone back again to our show in the heart of Cirencester Park.’

Show Director Claudia Wilson said:

‘The decision to cancel The Cotswold Show was only the second time in its 32-year history, the first being due to the foot and mouth epidemic, but itwas still an exceedingly difficult one to make, knowing that it would be such a huge disappointment to so many thousands of families. So, this year we will be putting on the best show ever to try and make up for the awful year everyone endured last year.’

Revival of ‘back to basics’ living as the world went into lockdown

One of the biggest things to come out of the pandemic has been a revival of ‘back to basics’ living. With the closure of hospitality, people started home cooking much more, growing their own vegetables, keeping their own livestock, and learning new culinary skills. With the closure of the entertainment industry, people turned to enjoying long walks in the countryside and country pursuits for exercise and mental health, and children returned to the basics of using our rural landscape as their playground. Many people have turned their hand to learning rural crafts and gardening, even becoming beekeepers, or developing new skills such as making jewellery, candles or learning to paint

The Cotswold Show this year will welcome the return such as The Savage Skills BMX sky high display and hilarious entertainment provided by The Sheep Show and many more.

Plenty of food and drink to enjoy

As if back-to-back attractions were not enough, Food and Drink Stands are swiftly filling up, from Chucklehead Cider to Great British Cheese, there will surely be something to tickle everyone’s taste buds. This will be a welcome treat having built up an appetite in our returning cookery theatre, featuring local chefs from surrounding establishments

There is no chance for the kiddies to be bored whilst the adults sample a tipple or two, with bungee trampolines and laser tag, they will be begging to stay!

What better way to be enjoying day with your family or four-legged friends? The only question will be, where to start first?

Tickets for the Show are on sale now via the new website www.cotswoldshow.co.uk, which is constantly being updated with new attractions as they are confirmed.
