Rotary Watches has partnered with Prostate Cancer UK to launch a watch called 1IN8 Rotary watch for Prostate Cancer to highlight the fact that 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
The hugely successful 1IN8 watch is a limited edition timepiece that has been very successful in raising the profile of prostate cancer in men.
Limited Edition 1IN4 watch
Rotary has launched it’s latest limited edition watch in the UK called 1IN4 is it continues it’s relationship with the Charity.
This new watch represents 1 in 4 black men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
This limited edition watch was designed in collaboration with property expert, writer and TV presenter Kunle Barker. This was to raise awareness of the worrying high figures in black males.
Rotary will only make 1,000 of these limited edition timepieces and donate 10 percent + VAT from the sale of every 1IN4 watch to Prostate Cancer UK. Proceeds of this project will directly towards helping black men understand their prostate cancer risk and what they can do about it.
Kunle Barker says,
“Since my dad’s diagnosis, I no longer take my health for granted. I also now want to make more men aware of their health and risks of prostate cancer, and encourage them to see their GP if they have any worries or concerns about the disease. Don’t be shy or embarrassed – think of the bigger picture. Catching prostate cancer early will only benefit you in the long run.
“I’m really happy that we’re getting a positive message out there through the Rotary x Prostate Cancer UK Limited Edition 1IN4 watch and encouraging more black men to speak to their GPs about prostate cancer.”
